Tip - Monitoring WAN Link Bandwidth If your network is connected to the Internet or other Wide
Area Network, you probably need to monitor the bandwidth usage on that link. In
most cases, the actual bandwidth available on the link is different than your
internal network bandwidth. For example, a 100MB LAN may connect to the Internet
using a Proxy Server and a dial up modem with a bandwidth of 56KB. LANScan can help you monitor the traffic on this link using
features of LANScan Professional or Network Monitor(NOT available in LANScan
Traffic View). Here is how you do it. Start LANScan, and open the Network View. Watch the Conversation view, when you see an address that is on the WAN(a web site, for instance), right - click on it in the conversation list.
