LANScan Network Protocol Details
The context sensitive popup menu lets you select the protocol layer to view.
Why change layers? You see different information at each layer and it may
identify different problems. For example, the Data Link layer identifies the low
level, hardware based packet format appearing on the network wire. Seeing
multiple types of Data Link protocols may indicate some hardware problems.

By default, LANScan starts with the Session layer. LANScan currently
recognizes very few Application layer protocols so not much information is
available at that level.
Expand has a special purpose for the Session layer only. Expand
displays all protocols by their ID number. In TCP/IP networks, thats the 'Port'
number. This is very useful when tracking use of uncommon or custom protocols.
